Canada's luck

Dennis Gartman wrote this week on his well read newsletter, the winner on Chavez frenzy over U.S. is Canada, here what Gartman wrote.

In Venezuela, Gen. Chavez (Comandante)* has moved yet again to alienate foreign capital, stating over the weekend at his regularly schedule radio and television address that he intends to raise the taxes on foreign oil companies operating there from 33% to 50%. As he said, "the companies that are pumping oil in Venezuela are making a lot of money." He
intends to make certain that they make a lot less. He will only have insured that Venezuela will be pumping far less oil a year from now than it is presently, and he has insured that Canada will be the beneficiary of his policies.
