Plans are in the making to divest shares in another
state-owned entity.
Commerce Minister Phillip Paulwell says the Government
is considering selling equity in the Petrojam oil
refinery.
He
told RJR News that the Government is close to making
a decision on the matter.
Last
month, the Government announced that it will be
selling its remaining shares in the Jamaica Public
Service Company, JPS.
The
proceeds from the sale will be used to finance the
2006/2007 Budget.
