FORMER oil and gas executive, Noel Wyatt died on
Sunday at 10:00 a.m. at his Cascade, Port of Spain,
home.
He
was in his late 70s.
Wyatt
was the husband of former Independent Senator and
activist, Diana Mahabir-Wyatt.
Reports
indicate that he fell ill last Thursday and suffered
a mild stroke later that night.
He
joined Shell Trinidad Limited in 1959 and subsequent
to that, held several posts throughout the energy
industry.
Wyatt
was the Industrial Relations advisor at the Industrial
Relations Advisory Unit at Shell International,
United Kingdom.
He
was also the superintendent Personnel Administration
at Trinmar and also served as head of Industrial
Relations at Trinmar's East African oil refineries
in Kenya.
He
was also an executive at Trintoc, Mc Enearney-Alstons
and from 1987 to 1991 served as chairman at the
Trinidad and Tobago National Petroleum Marketing
Company.
He
was a past honouree of the Human Resource Management
Association of Trinidad and Tobago for his stellar
achievements in the field of human resources.
The
funeral service for the late Noel Wyatt will take
place on Friday at 9:00 a.m. at the Trinity Cathedral,
Port of Spain.
He
leaves to mourn his wife and seven children.
