A
presentation on New Wave of Innovation and Technology
in Non-Destructive Testing is scheduled to be held
today (November 22) for the oil and gas industries
in South Trinidad.
The
presentation, organised by the Russel NDE Systems
Inc and Valve Components Limited (VALCOM), is slated
for 9.30am at Paria Suites Hotel, South Trunk Road,
La Romaine.
Lester
Ifill, VALCOM'S Pipeline Integrity Division Manager,
said: "We are proud to introduce the two times
ASTech Award winning technology for the inspection
of plate, piping, pipelines, heat exchange and boiler
tubes."
He
described VALCOM as a sales and services company
specialising in the inspection, service and repair
of valves and actuators to the oil, gas, and petrochemical
industry.
Ifill
said: "We were formed with a vision of providing
a single source service and supply company whose
focus stemmed from cost savings by introducing new
and revolutionary methods of inspecting, servicing
and repairing valves both in service and out."
He
said the company has defined a new direction and
position for 2007 and beyond. This new direction
is in the form of a joint venture with Russell NDE
Systems Inc to provide the latest technology in
Non-Destructive testing.
Russell
NDE Systems Inc, is a Canada based organisation
with more than 30 years experience in Non-Destructive
testing research, design, development and manufacture
of NDE Instruments, also a world wide leader in
the Petrochemical, oil and gas industry in the area
of Eddy Current (Remote Field Testing FRI) of plates
piping, heat exchanger and boiler tubes.
The
facilitator will be Ankit Vajpayee for Russel NDE
Systems Inc. He is a member of several societies
of NDT including those in Russia, India, Canada
and the United States, and also a member of the
Canadian Council of Professional Engineers. He spends
most of his time performing training courses, doing
feasibility study and presenting papers around the
world.
