The sixth annual IBC Energy
Caribbean conference will focus its attention on
the petroleum tax regime, the region’s drive
towards using renewable energy and also the financing
available for energy development in the region.
This
year’s conference will also delve into new
LNG markets opening up for T&T in Jamaica, Mexico
and Brazil.
The
conference will be held at the Hilton Trinidad and
runs from December 4 to December 5.
T&T
is the number one supplier of LNG to the United
States.
The
conference will bring together a who’s who
of regional energy experts.
Ruth
Potopsingh, managing director of Jamaica’s
Petroleum Corporation; Ronald Hewitt, general manager
of Barbados National Oil Company and Anthony Paul,
managing director of the Association of Caribbean
Energy Specialists, are all carded to speak at the
conference.
Other
talking points at the conference will be oil and
gas exploration, the electric power industry and
whether there will be any more LNG trains in the
Caribbean.
