gets new HR manager

-owned oil company Petrotrin has appointed a new
Vice President of Human Resources to replace the
former holder of the post Rowlinson Agard.
Agard
was recently given a new assignment within the company.
The
new holder of the office, Preston George brings
to the company 12 years experience in the field
of human resources.
George
is a graduate of the University of the West Indies
with a Bachelor's degree in Sociology.
He
also earned a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University
of London, and currently is pursuing an MBA at the
Arthur Lok Jack School of Business.
George
held key positions at a number of organisations,
including the Ministry of Labour, and recently as
general manager, Human Resources at Mittal Steel,
Point Lisas.
"At
Petrotrin, George must ensure among other things,
that the strategic and operational Human Resource
Management and development needs of Petrotrin are
identified and addressed effectively on an ongoing
and timely basis," the company said in a statement.
