in Trinidad and Tobago.

application (Power Plant) as well as the pre-Alutrint

extensive redesign at significant cost (USD Millions)
to conform with unlegislated draft air pollution
rules

is the first Trinidad energy sector company to utilize
the cutting-edge air dispersion modeling technology
that is renowned worldwide

is one of the first aluminum facilities worldwide
to agree with the conformance to the most stringent
HF fenceline limitation of 1 ug/m3 on a 24 hour
basis, as well as a more stringent sulfur dioxide(SO2)
standard than that proposed by the EMA
-Alutrint
is the first energy sector company to voluntarily
commit to fenceline monitoring to occur prior to
(and during) operation of our facility.
-Alutrint
is one of the first corporate entities to establish
a presence in the project affected community, at
least 18 months before the project is fully approved
for construction.

is one of the first energy projects in Trinidad
and Tobago to undertake additional formal public
meetings, one year after the mandatory EIA public
consultations.

is the first company to invest substantially in
social capital undertakings with the project affected
community prior to operation.
