LNG team attends conference in Dubai

Two local companies
in Trinidad and Tobago, Atlantic LNG and British
Gas Trinidad and Tobago (BGTT), have embarked on
a new initiative to build the competencies required
for further development of the local energy sector.
Both companies recently facilitated the visit
of a delegation of senior university personnel
to the annual Get-Energy Conference in Dubai, United
Arab Emirates.
Atlantic LNG sponsored two representatives from
the University of the West Indies: Dr Gyan Shrivastava,
head of the department of Civil and Environmental
Engineering, and Professor Richard Daw, TTMC chairperson
in petroleum engineering.
Representatives from Atlantic LNG , Lorraine Charles;
Human Resource Officer for Recruitment, and Francis
Noel, Human Resource Officer for Certification,
were also members of the delegation.
The Dubai conference was attended by some 600
representatives from 32 countries.
