BPTT’s
petro-technologist Simone Mischier is chapter
director of the Society of Petroleum
Engineers. Mischier is a graduate with BSc Hons
in Information Systems and Management from the
University of London and Political Science. She
has 12 years of experience in the oil and gas industry
having begun her career as an executive assistant
at Baker Hughes International in 1996.
In 1998 she joined BP Trinidad and Tobago LLC
(bpTT) as the assistant to the superintendents
in the Drilling and Completion Department and during
her tenure she received extensive training which
culminated in the position now held as Petro-Technologist.
Mischier is an expert in Drilling Information Management
Systems (DIMS) a Halliburton/Landmark application
and is the System Administrator for DIMS. She is
competent in Ministry of Energy and Energy Industries
(MOEEI) Government regulatory requirements, Performance
Management reporting and manages several projects
in the area of information management for the Drilling
and Completion Department.
Mischier
has been a member of the Society of Petroleum
Engineers since 2005 and is also a member of the
following internal bp community of practice – Extended
Performance Network, Drilling Completions and Well
Servicing User Group, Network of Technologist and
Knowledge Management Network.
She has also taken on additional leadership roles
in bpTT as the Chief Floor Warden for the Trinidad
Complex and the Leader of the Petro-Technologist
community affiliated with BP global. Mischier brings
to the SPE her enthusiasm and creativity, combined
with her excellent communication and presentation
skills, strong analytical, planning and decision
making skills. As chapter director, she is responsible
for policy, alliances, inter-society collaboration
and member benefits and is the regional and international
liaison.

Mischier.
