customer
satisfaction

Customer satisfaction and customer loyalty were two of the main objectives
of Petrotrin's Information Technology and Telecommunications Department to
help boost oil production, Roger Bertrand, manager, Information Technology
and Telecommunications, made clear on Tuesday.
He said the department had embarked on the installation
of an ITT Project Management Office (ITTPMO) whose
main objective would be to ensure radical improvement
of all projects handled by the department.
"The ITTPMO through its project management
office will assist in creating increased exploration
activities, reduce the drilling of marginal wells,
and through seismic interpretation it could increase
oil production through a modelling system," he
said.
Bertrand
was on a panel of speakers on a forum "Partnering
to Drive the Nation Forward through ICT" held
at the Cara Suites Hotel, Claxton Bay.
The discussion was organised by the Trinidad Chamber
of Industry and Commerce, the South Trinidad Chamber
of Industry and Commerce, Petrotrin and the Ministry
of Public Administration and Information.
Bertrand said a critical component of getting
the project underway was the focus on formal training
in project management for all team members.
