TOBAGO House of Assembly Chief Secretary Orville London yesterday said next Monday's budget will allocate over $500 million towards the Cove Eco and Industrial Park, close to $1 billion for the natural gas pipeline to Tobago, a total of $10 million additional resources to assist persons in the Enterprise Assistance Project and will double financial assistance to persons seeking to access tertiary education and training. There will also be additional funding for housing.
He made the comments at the Scarborough Port yesterday, during a ceremony commissioning the $6 million commercial fishing vessel Capital of Paradise 1.
Finance Secretary Dr Anslem London will present the 2009 budget at the Assembly Chamber next Monday. Last year, Dr London delivered a budget of $2.93 billion, but the Assembly received $2.650 billion when the national budget was read by Finance Minister Karen Nunez-Tesheira.
