A wildcat strike at the state owned refinery, Petrojam,
has been called off following the intervention of
the National Workers Union (NWU).
Petroleum
tanker drivers went on strike Thursday morning but
refused to provide the media with details of what
led to the work stoppage.
Senior
Negotiating Officer of the NWU, Granville Valentine,
told the RJR News Centre that the drivers agreed
to go back to work following a two hour meeting
involving the Union and the management.
